Gov. Cuomo, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi Back ‘Red Flag’ Gun Control Bill

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was in New York Monday and joined Gov. Andrew Cuomo to announce support for a “Red Flag” gun control bill.

If passed, the Red Flag Bill would prevent people who show signs of being a threat to themselves or others from purchasing or possessing firearms. It would also make New York the first in the United States to give teachers and school administrators the possibility to prevent a school shooting with court action.

The two are making the announcement at John Jay College.
