FCC Warns About New ‘One-Ring’ Robocall Scam

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – There is a new warning about a robocall scam.

The Federal Communications Commission says look out for calls that ring only once.

Scammers are trying to trick you into calling them back.

Once you do, you could get billed for calling a premium rate phone number.

The FCC says the robocalls have a “222” area code, and tend to happen late at night.
