NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – Sources confirm Mayor Bill de Blasio plans to move the famed Wall Street charging bull from its location at Bowling Green to somewhere closer to the New York Stock Exchange.

The reason stems from security concerns in the wake of vehicle attacks.

The bull has been at Bowling Green since 1989.

The new location has not been announced.

There’s no word on when the move will happen.
