BETHPAGE, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) — Police certification trials on Long Island tracked a few top dogs Thursday.
The United States Police Canine Association held trials at the Nassau County Fire Academy in Bethpage.
Dogs from New York and Connecticut were taken through a series of exercises to test everything from explosives detection to crowd searches.
The association has some of the highest standards for certification in the country.
