80-Year-Old Man Struck By Stray Bullet In South Bronx

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — An 80-year-old man was struck by a stray bullet while walking with his family Monday in the South Bronx.

The shooting happened shortly before 5 p.m. at 174th and Vyse streets.

Police said the suspect opened fire on someone on the corner, but hit the victim in his backside.

He was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

The search continues for the suspect.
