16-Year-Old Shot In Head At Brooklyn Playground In Critical Condition

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — A 16-year-old girl is in critical condition after she was shot in the head Friday in Brooklyn.

Police said it happened at a playground near Gowanus Houses in Boerum Hill, CBS2’s Cory James reported.

It happened just after 3 p.m. near Nevins Street and Wycoff Street.

Chopper 2 was over the scene moments after the shooter pulled the trigger.

The teenager was rushed to Methodist Hospital.

Police are still looking for the shooter, who they believe took off on a Citi Bike.

A motive for the shooting wasn’t immediately known.
