Police: 2 Children Found Safe Following Carjacking In Newark; Search On For Suspects

NEWARK, N.J. (CBSNewYork) — There were frightening moments in Newark on Tuesday night when a car with two children inside was stolen.

Chopper 2 was over the scene on North 6th Street.

Witnesses said two suspects took off with the car while the children were inside.

The car was later located and the children were found safe, police said, but added officers were combing the area looking for the suspects who ran from the scene.
