Police: Young Boy Injured In Shooting In Newark

NEWARK, N.J. (CBSNewYork) — Police are investigating after a young boy was injured in a shooting on Wednesday afternoon.

According to Newark Public Safety Director Brian O’Hara, officers responded to the 200 block of Broadway at around 1:15 p.m. on a call for an injured child.

The boy was taken to University Hospital with a non-life-threatening injury and is listed in stable condition.

The investigation is ongoing.
